|Maybelline| Dream Fresh BB Review

Dream Fresh BB Review

Or should I say Dream Fresh Tinted moisturizer! After trying this BB cream for several times here I am writing a review about it. As you know a lot of brands from the West have been making drugstore and high end BB creams all over the place. Some of them brag about them like they invented them first. Well they didn't. They took the recipe and the idea from the Koreans.

Dream Fresh BB by Maybelline claims to have 8 benefits in one.
  1. Creates Natural Glow
  2. Compliments Skin-Tone
  3. SPF30 UV Protection
  4. Hydrates all day
  5. Blurs Imperfections
  6. Oil free, non-greasy
  7. Looks visibly Smooth
  8. Feels Fresh

All these are true. It really does what it says. But it's more like a tinted moisturizer. Perfect for summer and perfect for people that have no huge pores all over their face.

Usually BB creams from South Korea have more coverage than this. At the very least they cover black heads. This product also doesn't work with either Pore Ever primer essence by Etude nor Apple Pore Serum  by Skinfood. Which is weird.

I see no parabens which is good because I have seen so many Maybelline products that have parabens.

Liquid BB cream, hmmm. Usually BB creams are more thick and creamy. Easy to apply it on if you have kept your natural oil and haven't washed and cared your face. Honestly, I tried it after caring my skin and applying moisturizer and it was so difficult to spread it on my face. Then I used it once i woke up when I  had my natural oils left on my skin and it was so easy to spread.

Preview on my Face

Light Coverage. Not suitable for faces with huge pores. Concealer is essential. Unless your face is perfect and you just want to protect and compliment it.

I remember I applied it on several times and then I removed after a few minutes. I tried it with different concealers, different pore solutions. Nothing. It's just a tinted moisturizer. A nice product but not for me. Maybelline also states on the back that only blurs imperfections. But that's not a BB cream in my opinion.

Perfect for mixing it with an actual foundation though!

So things I like about this:
  • It compliments the skin
  • Has SPF30
Things I'm not happy about:
  • No real coverage
  • Doesn't work w/ Pore solutions such as Pore Ever primer essence by Etude House
  • It's more like a Tinted Moisturizer
  • It's liquid, hard to apply it on face
Would I ever repurchase this? No, because I need higher coverage.

And that's all my opinions about this product. Even though I'm not in love with it I still think it's a product worth trying if your face has no flaws.

Thank you for reading, Feel free to comment your opinions below! I would love to read them :)

|Etude House| Wonder Pore Clay Clear and Freshner Review!

Wonder Pore Clay Clear

The Wonder Pore Clay Clear by Etude House packaging looks like this and it comes with its own spatula for easy application.

However, I used five samples of this product kindly given by D.I.O mall from ebay.

After 5 uses of this product I decided to write a review. Etude recommends to use this mask after you cleanse your face with Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser using its brush. Since I don't have that I used the Peel So Good Diamond peel cleanser which is by Etude House as well.

Wonder Pore Clay Clear Mask have 7 abilities in 1
  1. Deep Cleanses Pores
  2. Maintain ph 4.5+1
  3. Control a Large amount of the sebum
  4. Minimize appearance of pores
  5. Refine the skin tones
  6. Keep elasticity of pores
  7. Moisturize inside and outside skin

How to Use: After cleansing your face apply the mask with the spatula that comes with it. Avoid mouth and eye area. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off with plenty of water. In my case I didn't use the spatula.

It started off looking like this

At first it looks like a soft clay that you can easily apply on your face.

After 20 minutes
It turns into hard clay that doesn't let your face move at all after a few minutes.

After I rinsed it off my pores looked clean but it doesn't stay for long! I recommend this product to people like me, with huge pores all over their face but it really takes time and more products to get your pores disappear. But my pores did get smaller.

I finished off my pore elimination mission with the Wonder Pore Freshner Toner

Etude recommends this for the last step or the step before moisturizing cream. You use it like all the other toners. Dispense on cotton pad and then pat pat all over the face. Or you can just poor it on a Sheet Mask like I did.

I left it on for 15 minutes. The results were very good. Apart from the tip of my nose which was left out of the mask the whole time, lol. Even after my pores got cleansed the second time they didn't disappear. Because these products need months of use before they make your pores to actually disappear. But they do get cleaned and smaller in the process.

Results!

Bottom line is these two products are amazing and they really cleanse your face, but you will need to use a moisturizer after use. Even though my skin is not dry and I have a very oily T-Line I do need to moisturize my face every time I use Wonder Pore products.

So, things I love about Wonder Pore Clay Clear:
  • Deep cleanses the face
  • It makes a difference after 5 uses (my pores got smaller)
Things I love about Wonder Pore Freshner
  • It makes my face feel fresh
  • Cleanse the pores (it cleanses my pores more than any other toner)
  • Makes my pores get firmer (that's if they are very clean)

Disclaimer: The Wonder Pore Clay Clear Samples have been given by Mr Zino Park but I bought the Wonder Pore Freshner myself. This Review is not Sponsored and these are my honest opinions.

|Etude House| AC Clinic Toner and Gel Lotion Review

A few weeks ago BB Cream Boutique sent me some samples to review. One of the samples was this duo of AC Clinic Gel Lotion and Toner in small bottles for more than one use. So I got to test them quiet well before I decide what I think of them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BB Cream Boutique Descriptions:

Etude House AC Clinic Gel Lotion

Formulated with Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress extract, AC Clinic Gel Lotion clarifies and soothes troubled skin while maintain oil/moisture balance without aggravation.

Active Ingredients: Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress extract

Application sequence: Foam Cleanser --> Toner --> Gel Lotion --> Red Spot Balm --> Pink Powder Spot --> Pink Daily Spot, Calming Mist
Vol 150ml (5.07 fl.oz.)

Etude House AC Clinic Toner
Formulated with Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress extract, AC Clinic Toner clarifies and soothes troubled skin for moist, cleansed sensation all day long.

Non-Comedogenic & Dermatologist Tested
'Non-Comedogenic' means it will not produce nor aggravate acne. AC Clinic line is formulated without acne-inducing ingredients to promote clear skin.

Active Ingredients: Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress extract

Application sequence: Foam Cleanser --> Toner --> Gel Lotion --> Red Spot Balm --> Pink Powder Spot --> Calming Mist

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Salicylic Acid = The ingredient that eliminates the black heads but it takes a lot of uses. Some people get skin irritations and dry skin after the use of a product that contain salicylic acid. But you can always cure these. If the above problems appear then you would have to stop using products with that ingredient. Nonetheless, it worth trying it out.

As you can see at the descriptions these two are two of the six steps in total of this line, but you can easily use just these two and see results.

I'm going to start with the AC Clinic Toner. It removes the oil of the skin like completely so you have to use a moisturizer or the AC Clinic Gel lotion after every use. Because the toner alone is going to leave your skin dry and nobody wants that. You are supposed to use it after the AC Clinic Foam cleanser but any other cleanser will do in my opinion.

It really helps with preventing pimples and if you have pimples already then it would make them disappear faster. Using the Gel Lotion afterwards is really going to help and make a difference.

The smell of these products is not very pleasant, they smell like hospital with a hint of Sugar and Lemon. That's not bad for me. I like scents like that for some reason. I think the smell just makes you believe that this product is going to help you with your spots. Which is good!

My suggestion is to use products from the AC Clinic Line around the time of the month that many women get breakouts or Every day use if you are around 13-18 years old. Around puberty and late teen years. It would certainly make a difference with acne.

Conclusion: These two are very good products to use and it really helps to prevent and heal acne breakouts plus they are essential for teens.

So these are my thoughts and review about these two lovely products! I hope you liked it :)

|Etude House| Moistfull Flower Cream Review!

Moistfull Flower Cream by Etude House:

I recently received Etude House samples from BB Cream Boutique click HERE to visit. Once I opened the package I saw the moistfull flower cream and I thought "yay I wanted to try this!" And of course to write a review about this lovely product!

BB Cream Boutique description of the product:

Moistfull Flower Cream is formulated with Baobab Tree extract to relieve and replenish dry skin with abundant moisture and a Cherry Blossom Floral complex to nourish, soothe and protect the face.

First Impression:

I have been curious about this cream but was hesitating to actually buy it because it says that it's for dry skin. Considering I have oily skin I thought that would be a waste of money. BUT being in Greece which is very hot during the summer and having the air conditioning on for several hours during the day made my skin dry. So, after I washed my face and applied oil control toner I finished it with the Moistfull Flower Cream and it didn't make my face go super oily. As a matter of fact my skin felt refreshed and soft after the application and it stayed like that for several hours. I have to note that the amount of cream I applied on my face was around the size of a small drop.

Another event I want to share is: I went out for coffee during the day when the sun was up and very bright and even though I was wearing BB cream with SPF 30 I felt like my face was burning! And after I came back home I immediately removed make-up and applied oil control toner followed by a huge amount of this lovely flower cream. The results was very satisfying! My skin felt refreshed and moisturized again and it stayed like that for the rest of the day.

Conclusion:

Moisfull Flower Cream by Etude House works great on dry and oily skin types with dry and normal patches. It moisturizes the dry patches without making the rest of your face oily. It does what it says and great to have something that contains cherry blossoms on your face. I wouldn't recommend it to people with very very oily skin that don't have any dry patches. Because they wouldn't need it in my opinion. But it's great for normal with oily T-Line and dry patches skin types that have moisturizing problems due to dry weather or other causes.

So, Things I LOVE about this product:
  • It doesn't leave your skin oily after use
  • Oily with dry patches skin types can use it with success
  • The skin feels fresh, clean and moisturized after every use
  • It's pink and contains cherry blossoms as an ingredient
  • It doesn't leave a clogged up feeling on the pores (most of the day creams do IMO)
  • Essential product for DRY skin!!!
Things that I don't like about this product:
  • Nothing I love everything about this!

Disclaimer: I have been given samples of this product for free but my opinions are honest and mine.

|Tony Moly| Petite Bunny Gloss Bars Review!

New review of Neon Yellow and Juicy Peach HERE!

I can finally write a review about these cuties. Petite Bunny Gloss bar or in my opinion Magic Lip Butters!

The flavours I'm going to be talking about:
  • Juicy Strawberry
  • Juicy Cherry
  • Neon Orange
The flavours that I don't have:
  • Juicy Grape
  • Juicy Apple
  • Juicy Peach
  • Juicy Orange
  • Neon Yellow
  • Neon Red
Before I start I have to say that I love these lip gloss butters and tints at the same time. They are a combinations of tint and moisturizer.

Appearance

They have cute bunny faces on them. Every flavour of gloss have its own face and expression. That's makes them very cute, feminine and playful. And not necessarily for kids or teens, as a matter of fact these are not made for kids. Tony Moly fans may know that this company likes making cute looking cosmetics for adults. Also I want to add that the shades of colours (of the packaging) are very much unique and very very stylish.

They keep the lips moisturized and soft. The sticks are thin so they're easy to apply on thin lips.

Preview on my forearm

Other specifications: They do stay on the lips for long. If I drink or eat for around 30 minutes or so, the gloss will be gone but the colours on the lips stays like a tint. So you need lipstick remover to completely remove it from your lips at the end of the day. But of course it needs to be reapplied during the day if you want to keep the glossy look.

But let me focus on every single of these three glosses at a time.

Juicy Strawberry

The Scent: is artificial strawberry, the most bold smell of the three. But it's pleasant and I personally love it. I usually don't like artificial fruity scent on cosmetics but this one, it smells like vanilla and strawberry to me.

Colour: Cool Pink. That compliments my skin tone which is weird because cool pinks don't usually look good on me. This one is the perfect shade of cool pink for me. It compliments skin tones with hints of olive colour. But it will also look good on rose skin tones as well. In my opinion.

Juicy Cherry

The Scent: Light artificial Cherry smell. I was worried about this flavour a lot. Because I have a problem with artificial cherry smells. They make me sick. But this scent is light and it doesn't smell exactly like other artificial cherry scents so I have no problem with it. Even though I get a lil bit disturbed if I sniff it too much. Hehe.

Colour: Cool red. I LOVE the colour. It's good for going out at night after work when you don't have much time to put extra make-up on and you want to look appropriate and moisturizing your lips at the same time. This colour stays on the lips the most. Probably because of the red shade. Looks great with all shades of skin tones because it's a classic shade of red lipstick.

Neon Orange

The scent: A mix of orange and tangerine. I absolutely love this smell. Not too bold but not too light either. I adore cosmetics that smell like this.

Colour: Soft orange. Suitable for light skin shades. The colour stays on the lips for hours. Neon shades have been a trend this summer and I'm happy to say that this lip gloss bar is the best choice for lip moisturiser and tint. I just love it. One of my July favorites.

So the things I love about these are:
  • They moisturize the lips like lip butters
  • They have colour like lip tints and the colour stays on the lips for hours
  • They leave the lips glossy like lip gloss
  • The stick is thin so easy to apply on thin type lips
  • The packaging is cute and adorable
  • Colour shades are unique and stylish
Things I'm not much happy about:
  • After a couple of uses the stick doesn't go back down when I twist the bottom. I have to push it back in. Maybe because of the hot weather here.
I overall LOVE these three Gloss Bars.

Thank you very much for reading my review on these lovely gloss bars. I hope you like it!
Feel free to comment with your thoughts about my review or these line of products.

July Mini Haul 2012

Hey guys, I went out for shopping and I got the following stuff but I also got six tops which I didn't get photos of because I went and washed them as soon as I got back home. I'm going to be doing "outfit of the day" the following weeks. So let me show you what I got!

I bought this pair of cute yellow flip flops by Adam's. I regret not buying them in atleast one more colour though. They were very cheap. I think they will be great for the rest of the summer.

And I got a lil bit Maybelline crazy because they had a sale on. Also that Seventeen nail polish looks brigther in person. More like soft neon pink. Seventeen is a Greek brand I love it.

  • Seventeen Nail polish number 274
  • Maybelline Dream Mat Powder
  • Maybelline the Falsies Volume express Black Drama
  • Maybelline BB cream
I tried the BB cream already and I'm not very satisfied by it. I think I need more coverage that it can give me.

Sooo that's all! Thank you for reading :D Don't forget to check my blog for upcoming "Outfit of the Day" and new cosmetic reviews.
