[Review] It's Skin Power 10 Formula VB Effector

Hii Lovelies! I'm back with another review this week~ VB Effector for sebum care from It's Skin! They have this huge line of serums and a big variety of kinds that can suit different needs! Even for shrinking pores but I didn't order that :P

I chose the VB perfector because my skin turned super oily this Summer!

Description from f2plus1 ebay store (maybe they took it from It's Skin website): Sebum Regulation of Vitamin B. Oily Skin is essential to the recommended hagopeun. Oil Free vitamin suppress excessive sebum secretion and acne clean the skin moisturizing.

That basically means it controls oil, prevents acne (?)  and moisturizes at the same time.

The application is pretty simple with the pipette haha. I only need one drop to cover my face. Also the consistency is semi watery I would say. It looks very watery on the photos but it's less watery in real life than it looks.

On skincare routines, you usually use serum after toner then apply emulsion or/and moisturizing cream. Every time I tried to do that I ended up with a sticky face even though it feels like it's very absorbing, it seems to have a bad reaction with the Moistful Flower Cream from Etude House, Effaclar duo from La Roche Posay and Oil Free moisturizer from Neutrogena. My skin was sticky for half an hour or so and felt like I have put a ton of products! My skin absorbed it instantly after application but it didn't seem to let the moisturizers get absorbed.

So, a few days ago I used this serum after applying the Effaclar Duo cream and it worked better. However, I felt everything sinking in and my pores opened up a lot! At least my face wasn't sticky...

As for oil control... it works so-so for me. Moisturizing? yes. It's okay to use by itself though. The only thing I love about this serum is the smell which I can't describe it :P It reminds me of sugar!

I'm not sure why products don't work well for me lately!

MY RATING 3/5

Because it doesn't seem to really work well for me but I do get better results using by itself.

Have you tried any serums of this line? Or even this one, I would like to hear your thoughts!

  3. I use the Mizon snail ampoule at the minute but would like to try one that controls sebum because I'm so oily lately! This one looks pretty decent and the price is good too, so not a huge loss if it doesn't work :)

  9. You seem to use so many products on your skin. Use the least as possible. I think that's why products aren't working very well on you lately. Do you think using different brands, at the same time is a good idea? I don't think so. That's my point of view.

  11. To tell the truth, I met a review which rated this product 5/5 and I was convinced to buy this in hope of this controlling oil on my face ( I have oily skin). But the result showed the opposite. My face is oily all day. Total disappointed with this.
