[Review] Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil - Bling in the Sea in BL601

Hello ~ Christmas is almost here and my 1st Blog Anniversary almost ending, so I hope everyone has joined! This time I'm going to review a waterproof eye pencil from Etude House. I know it's more like a summer review but hey! Some of us go to the pool during the winter! Not me though :P

Proof 10 Auto Pencil Bling in the Sea in BL601 is basically a glittery blue, adjustable eye pencil that is waterproof and comes with its own little sharpener. Claims to be salt-waterproof as well but I haven't really been to the beach lately because the sea here in Ireland is super cold even during the summer.
The plastic part with those text and date on, is twistable and you can adjust the length of the stick. The glitter in the pencil is pretty visible to me but the photo turned out a bit blurry. I hope it's clear to you! I would show you the total length of the stick but I was afraid something might go wrong so i didn't twist it all the way out. But it looks endless hehe..
So this is the the tiny pencil sharpener that you can put the tip in. It unplugs from the other end of the pencil. It works really well as well.

It's not as pigmented as I expected and the colour looks almost exactly the same as the cup's colour with a bit of glitter in it. It leaves behind those darker bits but they don't fall out. I'm not sure how to explain it but it's visible on the swatch. I'm a bit disappointed in the pigmentation as it looks a bit sheer when on the lids.
It's really waterproof and smudgeproof but I only tried it under tap water. Also suitable for the upper and lower waterline but it gave me that weird feeling of something burning me a tiny bit. Just a tiny bit.

I don't like how the eyeshadow can look more vibrant than this pencil. I'm guessing it's like this because of the waterproof abilities. It's not meant to be worn with eyeshadow anyway. Just a bit of tone on the root your lashes while you enjoy swimming in the sea or pool. Not really suitable for a night out for example.

MY RATING is 3 out of 5

Because, even though it's waterproof and smudgeproof I'm not happy with the colour. I don't think it's something I really can use or need. I'm pretty sure it's great for those that visit the pool or the beach regularly though!

Basically the reason I purchased this was my waterline. I needed something waterproof with extreme staying power. So if you have any recommendations please feel free to share ^^

  1. That's so weird because I would most likely wear that color during the winter. It's seems like a very pretty dark blue.
