|REVIEW| The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

Hi again! Two reviews today! And I wanted to post about Face contour but I said to myself  "better not to because your readers are going to get tired of you today!".

Vitamic C Microdermabrasion is a peeling wash with micro-beads. It's kind of harsh/hard so I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive skin. It claims to be for dull skin and contains Amazonian Camu Camu and Shea butter.

I use it twice a week to exfoliate my skin, see my Morning skincare routine HERE! My skin feels nice and soft after every use but I still have to use my stronger moisturizer! I don't feel very comfortable while washing my face with it but it does a pretty good job at exfoliating and softening my skin!

The ingredients list doesn't look like it contains something bad but I don't see the Shea butter and the Amazonian camu camu anywhere. Maybe they have different scientific name? Anybody see these two in the list?

The swatch: It looks like it contains moisturizing cream, white bigger micro-beads and tiny black micro-beads. It doesn't make any foam while I wash my face with it so I'm guessing the white cream here is the shea butter or something.

The scent: It smells like glycerin! I can't describe it very well, a sweet fruity smell!

This is a strong exfoliator, please be aware it might be harmful to sensitive skin.

I'm going to give this peeling 4/5 wings because it exfoliates well and makes my skin soft BUT usually makes a spot to appear which I hate.. and that means I'm in search for a new exfoliator!

Do you have any peeling you like and recommend?

Thank you for reading!

  3. Butyrospermum parkii is shea butter, and Myrciaria dubia fruit extract is the camu camu. Too bad the camu camu is so low on the list it probably does nothing.

I have this same product, still using it, for me it's working pretty well, because I've got thick skin (literally!). Good review ^_^

    1. Thanks <3 btw I just used a sample of Magic bubble O2 water peeling pack from Etude and OMG you have to try this! It tickles and annoys me but my pores got totally cleansed and my face got a lot brighter! <333 I'm gonna order full size for my bday! I think that was the only peeling that actually worked on me XD

  4. When something goes wrong with your facial skin as a result of acne breakouts, burns or aging and there are large pores prominent on your skin then you should always go for microdermabrasion with ultrasound.

  5. Ingredients in cosmetics are always written in latin as original plant names are in this language. The INCI (Ingredients Nomenclature Cosmetics International) obliged to list ingredients in this way internationally . Shea butter Butyrospermum Parkii as Cake-Pie mentioned correctly. Half of the ingredients formula in this product are synthetic and other toxics. Body shop products feel lovely and use natural ingredients but they are not 100% natural cosmetics this why sometimes some of their products can be harsh on sensitive skin. I recommend MATARRANIA Organic Olive scrub for face and body. Unique product and certified Organic.
