I really needed a cleansing oil to remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara! So I thought I'd purchase this Etude Cleansing oil Fresh (for oily skin) because I love Etude House is my favorite brand! Why would I give my money to L'oreal for cleansing oil (which I consume a bottle almost every month!) and I wanted to stop using cotton pads as well.
It states that it removes waterproof eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, BB cream and eye brow powder. The consistency is thick so it's kinda hard for the oil to go between my eyelashes and remove the mascara...
It also warns you to avoid contact with eyes. How can you remove your eyeliner and mascara with oil without having to touch your eyes? I rubbed the oil on my eyes anyway. Good thing they didn't get irritated!
It removed my waterproof eyeliner with success. It didn't remove my waterproof mascara which is by Etude as well. It didn't totally remove the Dream On foundation but it removed the precious mineral BB cream by Etude House. Not being able to remove my mascara was a huge fail for me. I had to rub my eyelashes with my thumb an finger and got some mascara off but not all of it. Really hard to try to get the thick oil between your eyelashes. At least L'oreal's cleansing oil is very thin and watery and can go anywhere lol.
I did exactly what the instructions said. I also had to rinse then dry and then rub my face with the oil for the second time for the BB cream and eyeliner to get totally removed.
Bottom line: This product isn't working for me and I'm not sure if I'm gonna use it again. I'm not gonna repurchase either. I usually like Etude House products. This one is one of the few that didn't work for me. That's a shame!
My Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
But it's alright, Etude House is a good brand! There is always some products that don't work very well as we expected!
Thank you for reading (^_^) Ah, and please comment below if you ever tried this product and if it worked for you well!
You should take a cotton pad and pump some of the product onto it, then press the cotton pad on your lashes to clean them off. Then I apply to the rest of my face to clean foundation off. If I wear heavy eye make up, then I will use a eye make up remover first and then the oil cleanser. Hope that helps? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip^^) But I got this cleanser so I'll stop using eye makeup remover and a seperate facial remover :< it claims to remove waterproof mascara and such so...
DeleteOwwww!D; this is a disappointment uwu i was expecting that remove eye make up, well i think i will continue with my search of a good cleanser!

DeleteIt's too bad that the cleansing oil wasn't so good. I know you love Etude, but it's very nice that you don't let it bias you, and you still do a good review ^_^
